NOLA Graffiti

Street art, also known as graffiti, is one of my favorite things to capture in any city, but New Orleans offers something unique. The art itself is always changing, just like the city, but it never disappears—there’s always something to see. Every time I visit, popular spots that were tagged with one piece of art are now covered with something entirely different, a testament to how alive the street art scene is. Just like NOLA itself, the art may be temporary, but its presence is constant.

New Orleans is a city that thrives on reinvention. From the resilient rebuilding after hurricanes to its evolving cultural influences, NOLA is always shifting. Yet, no matter how much the city changes, its spirit remains. The same is true for its street art. Whether it’s a political statement or a burst of color on an otherwise overlooked wall, the graffiti embodies both change and permanence. It’s as if the city and the art are intertwined, with each tag telling a story of resilience, identity, and an ever-present energy. Even when one piece fades or is painted over, another takes its place—ensuring that while the canvas may shift, the art remains an integral part of New Orleans’ story.
